- May 21, 2006 05:37pm by MILES - http://www.MilesBonny.com/ Location: KCK
I've decided that in addition to some slow jams/ jazz / old school RnB...
my DJing at Hip Hop & Hot Wings will now focus on playing local music. I will play 90-100% local hip hop / rap tonight (may 21)
and in future weeks, I plan on gathering and playing more.
I'll bring all I have, but if you have something you'd like to get me, bring it up, I wont play it right then and there, but I will bring it home, check it out, and add it to the collection for play.

yeah man, a strong attempt at this wa made. Id didnt feel like i had enough string, WELL MIXED tracks to make a full night of it, but I didi it anyway. In the future, I'll simply say that I'm going to integrate local tracks more often into my hip hop sets. In the meantime. I'm gonna step my mixing ability up in terms pf post production adn I'd suggest the same for most of you as well.
IN listening to these songs tonight, I realized thera is a lot of potential and creativity and good ideas, but if they arent mixed on the final product in a way that translates well into a live setting they limit their potential to travel the globe. I decided I'm not gonna contribute to that pile anymore. we gotta step it up. I'm gonna start tomorrow.
PLease get me releases as they come out though. respect and continued growth to you all.
