I went to Springfield last night to link up with a friend of mine and we ended up going to the Highlife, which is a club out there, where DJ P and DJ Platinum were spinning.
I approached DJ P early in the night and gave him a few copies of the current issue of Demencha, with Gear & Scribe on the cover. I knew he would dig it, because in his last mix CD he put out, he actually shouted out the whole Flavor Pak crew in the inside liner notes. (DJ P is from Springfield, but refers to KC as "a home")
My friend and I actually went and hung out with P at his studio just a couple of blocks away from the venue after the show was over. He pretty much rattled our ears off until about 5 a.m. Most of the stuff he said, I didn't get recorded, but I do have a 15 minute interview (on video) that I did with him during our conversation, until the memory card became full.
DJ P = BIG time DJ. He basically blew up the mash up sound to the world.
