Topic: NBA MVP Race Talk/NCAA Tourney Talk

I think there's only 11 games left in the NBA season.
If D Wade's game winning attempt didn't go in and out the other night, I think he may have sealed the deal (in my mind at least). Even if he does play for the Heat, who aren't doing well this year.
Is LeBron "entitled" to it this year? In points, rebounds and assists, he's got Kobe edged out in them all, regardless.
Another thing is, D Wade may get defensive player of the year for this season, according to a sports talk radio guy i listen to on 610 AM. If he were to lead the league in scoring and win DPOY, that would be something for the resume for sure.
It's tough to say, because these are the three best players in the league for sure, but I think Kobe is least likely to win it out of all three.
thoughts???
BTW, I don't think ANYONE wants a piece of MIZZOU in the NCAA tournament right now. They beat Memphis last night, and scored 102 points while doing so, which is like 150 in NBA language. I won't lie, I can't name a single player for MU other than the dude with the last name "Lawrence"...that just sticks out because I think it's weird that there's a guy on MU with the last name "Lawrence."
thoughts???

Lebron for my money.
I'm proud of the Tigers man. They went out and hung 102 on the board against a good Memphis defense. A really good Memphis defense.
UCONN's gonna be an interesting challenge for MU, but if they can move Thabeet around and keep him from monopolizing the post...they can continue getting those easy buckets.

I knew after taking the big 12 Mizzou was gonna hit this tournament hard..
They have done nothing but make me proud this time through..
I did watch Thabeet 7'3" with a 7'7" wingspan.......................................
thats ridiculous.. But like reach said if they can keep him moving they got it..

I was the only person that i spoke to that thought Missouri had a chance. Although even I didn't think they would win the way they did.
I think Thabeet is completely overrated. If he's not dunking he's completely limited offensively. He changes the game on the other end, but i watched Dejaun Blair from Pitt eat him alive in the post at the end of the regular season. If you get in his chest that 8 foot wingspan doesn't have any effect. The real matchup in that game will be J.T. Tiller guarding Price i think, and Carroll guarding Jeff Adrien. I think the ex factor will be how well Stanley Robinson plays for UCONN. i don't think Missouri has anybody as close to athletic as him.
I think it's gonna be Oklahoma and Louisville in the finals right now. They man handled both of their opponents in the Round of 16. I'm convinced.

how about KU going down last night?
Collins is really good. Last night was the first time I got a chance to watch him play. I didn't see the second half, but I understand that he kinda screwed up a couple of times down the stretch.
They do seem like a two man band with him and Aldrich.
Regardless I think KU did really well considering they lost their 5 starters from a year ago.
thoughts?

Collins is one of the best PG's in the country. If he stays he'll probably be the best next year outside of Ty Lawson from UNC. He did have 2 costly turnovers late in the game tho trying to make plays that weren't there. KU missed alot of bunnies in the first half that I think would've made the difference in the game. I think Cole Aldrich started the game 0-5. They also were up 10 and let MSU back in the game in the first half by having lapses on defense.
MSU is gonna get smacked by Louisville in the next round i think tho.

So disappoint now that MU is gone. I guess I'll be rooting for OU now since my girl is such a big fan.
