Topic: Westport open stage

    I would encourage any artist, emcee, poet, or comedian, that wants a spot to polish their skills, to check this venue out. This is normally held on Tuesdays nights from 7 to 11. I had been meaning to go for a minute, but I play soccer on Tuesday nights. Last night they did a Saturday showing and it was dope. Its a great way to view an open mic. Sitting theater style, with a dark room and all the lights on stage. Theres no room for people in the crowd to not have fun, or enjoy themselves, cause they can't be seen, so there is no focus on them, everyone was watching the stage. I smashed pads again. bang bang bang Did a whole 10-15 minute set, straight through. Just me, My laptop and my Trigger Finger. I got mad love, from people I didn't even know. Getting respect I know I deserve. Cats was coming up getting contact info for beats, or just to give me props. "Thats true art!" One cat said to me. It felt good to leave with a smile and a feeling of accomplishment. I promised next time to give them some of that KinesthetiC dopeness. (grass, you down?)     who, what, where, when, how much ace? need some land based info so others can participate if they want to. thanks glad they gave you all that love, ace, there is so much talent in our hiphop community that if we started to share it outside of our community, folks would be blown away often. just gotta explore more avenues, outlets and genres

    It was originally at Club Rain, yeah? Yo, I went last night, it was fun, but the sound got too intense and muffled on and off towards the end there. Irv Da Phenom, Craig Smith, Greg Enemy, Louie V, Homework Jones, ThePhantom...swell job, great energy. 😀 Let me know when you go, Ace! I'd check that.

The people who are running Open Stage, D&A (respect and love), have showed [u:7deb0c0dde]me[/u:7deb0c0dde] nothing but love and respect. Heard what I did, invited me, showed me that they were listening, and appreciated what I was doing. That was from meeting me once, hearing what I did and do once, and then letting me know they wanted more. Bump yo SIIIITAY! Check it out for yourself, make your own decision! btw Same thing was said for a long time, by alot of people, about alot of different bars. Alot of my friends said, "I don't care whos playing tonite, eff the Peanut...That place sucks!" But I've seen some legendary shows at the downtown peanut. Almost missed a couple.
