I shot a short snippet of video from Mic Check Mondays last night of DJ Hylanda ripping the mic. I also shot a good one of AMNEZIA, but he said he didn't want me to post it just yet on the blog, [url]http://www.demencha.com[/url]
I took some black and white still shots of the newly remodeled club also. It looks pretty slick in there, but there's still no dress code on Mondays.

I threw up some choice stories that made it into the summer issue of Demencha (yes, we're in print also!).

2. [b:83ff07bc8e]"Grant Rice His Own Hypeman" [/b:83ff07bc8e]- Grant Rice, former hype man for Tech N9ne, speaks on going solo.
3. [b:83ff07bc8e]Kansas City's own Hip Hop Academy[/b:83ff07bc8e]- Former Flavor Pak Magazine editor, Jeremy McConnell, Bro Mo, Scoe lead up the Hip Hop Academy (with full color pictures from their class sessions!)
4. [b:83ff07bc8e]"The Story of South Kansas City"[/b:83ff07bc8e] - An old family friend, Jason Collette, who now works for ACORN in St. Louis did this piece about the downward spiral known as Southtown and it's hopeful revitalization. (Fans of Light Rail will enjoy this story).
5. [b:83ff07bc8e]DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist at The Voodoo Lounge: Review [/b:83ff07bc8e]- Demencha writer, Bucho, may be the most talented writer in our crew. He did a brilliant piece on this event earlier this year.
