last night was in a word great. there were lots of reasons for that too
the club is small and easy, drinks are reasonable, the cover reasonable,
lots of folks (the usual suspects) were there chattin each other up, the bar tender was professional and curtious, the doorman took a look at my gray hair and smiled when I asked if he needed to see my ID, there were lots of cameras and filming goin on (maybe we will see some of them via a link posted here, the smell of popcorn in the air,smooth C was out ( so sue me I like him) but most of all Joc was there.
Towards the end of the evening, joc did some stuff that brought folks from all over the club to stand around the stage edge to simply stare in amazement. heads bobbin, hands in the air lettin you know something really cool had just occured, snickers and looks of knowing and awe could be seen.
Did I mention, this was particularly true for the DJ's in the house. This thing that happens when joc is around, thrills me to see. i know joc is feedin off it in a positive way, like a close friend or older sibling who wants to do their best sh*t when their best friend or younger sibling(s) are watchin cuz they want to share their talent. this is where a lot of the filmin and photo taking came in.
its 4am and I am glad I spent the evening within this community enjoyin me some joc and friends.

In a strange way, I kinda look up to JM as an artist.
From the ride up there to the ride home, I was appreciating life last night.

i kinda wish ppl were dancing like they did back in the days at Jilly's...
i've seen that place HOP! and it's just kinda lame to hear this dope dj and see ppl just staring at the turntables...
i mean i wasn't out there doing the chicken dance or anything...but ppl moving to the beat what gets me hype when i spin...and joc was throwin' down some jams to get down to...
just some thoughts...
