The 1st Annual hiphop community Potluck think of it hiphop playing in the background, hiphop heads cooking and eating together and fund raising for a project that impacts local hiphop all year long.
Along with the fee for $5 please bring a hot side dish or salad or desert to add to the meal + 1 canned good
The more sides you bring the more we can feed.
I usually cook food for new years day ( something I enjoy. I especially like to see people eat the food I cook) and this year I want to gift this to the hiphop community.
the Menu will be: a couple of Turkeys, a Ham, couple a main Vegetarian dish ( for the vegetarians among us) Mashed potatoes, candied yams, dinner rolls and for desert a peach cobbler, a cake and some bought pies.
DJs who wanna spin there will be a set up there and for those of you who have ipods fully loaded we can plug them in as well.
I'm all excited to be cooking my extended family and friends
60% of the proceeds will be donated to fund the Newly formed KC Hiphop Academy and the can goods will be given to an area food pantry.
