MAN.. I'm a Maher fanatic now. How is it that there is better news talk on comedy than there is on the "top" news outlets? AY YO!! Rewind the past episodes too. The show with Mos Def and Dr. Cornel West was a classic!

maher is just another neocon cheerleader in disguise. didnt you see him last week acting like a tough guy kicking out 9-11 truthers on his show. if this guy is so "liberal", why did he respond in such a manner to legitimate questions about 9-11. this dude is just as bad as glen beck. the powers that be are very scared right now that people are waking to the reality that our government is in a stage of absolute corruption, and they will do anything to keep it under wraps that the government was involved in planning and exectuing the attacks on 9-11, including having all their minions in corporate media (yes, this includes bill maher) do everything in their power to discredit anyone who questions the official story. as bill maher puts IT, we are all crazy and we should be forcefed prozac. THIS DUDE IS JUST ANOTHER NEOCON PEICE OF SHIT IN DISGUISE. be careful about who you trust these days. just cuz dude is on hbo, doesnt mean hedoesnt have an agenda too. INFOWARS!!!!

I'm still not sold on Maher. He's a bright guy, but I remember his commentary from his PI days. He was Bill O'Reilly light back then... And his response to 9/11 Truthseekers has been horrible.

Damn son!! Is this THE Lenny D that was just kicking it and playing pool at Reach's Release Party??? LOL I hear you mane!
  6. Nov 5, 2007 07:47pm by Whatsgood
Shame on you people complaning about how he handled the 9-11 truthers. First of all those people are morons second of all they interupted his show! Tell me you wouldn't be pissed off if someone messed with you in the middle of your show.

SHAME ON ME??? WHY? shame on you man!!! we need more people to stand up and speak up for what they believe in. we, the people, dont own the major media outlets, so most of the time, our voices are left in the dark and we are not afforded the oppertunity to speak up. if that means interupting a rather wealthy "neo"commentator's talk show to bring some light on all the discrepencies on 9-11 ...so be it. too many people are scared to stand up what they believe in. i dont get why people such as yourself are so opposed to hearing another viewpoint on the matter. the time for being polite is over. these people are hijacking our country,,, our country is becoming more and more of a police state day by day. maybe if we had more people speaking up ...we could bring some much needed change in this country. why do you care so much anyway, was he your uncle or something? are you related somehow??? is he your boss? no...so why the hostlle remarks whatsgood. you better check yourself!!!

Regardless of the facts, they both stand for TRUTH in their own ways. I don't think homie is Neo-Con... He just had a show to run and they were being rude jerks in the middle of a discussion about it. I think there is a time and a place, and they crossed the line. I would've done the same thing if I was him, then go to a march with them. Feel me? You're right, the time for cordial conversation about this stuff is over, but that doesn't mean we can't do it in different ways... ie. not yelling like mad men. You can't tell me that Maher is closer to Republican because of how he communicates. The guy says WAAAYYY crazier shit the Truthers.

I GUESS WE AGREE TO DISAGREE ON THE SUBJECT. BOTTOM LINE FOR ME IS I DONT TRUST THE MAN, ESPECIALLY HOW HE RESPONDED. BTW , THE PEOPLE WHO INFULTRATED THE SHOW WERE DOING SO ON RESPONSE TO REMARKS MADE ON THE PRIOR WEEKS SHOW ABOUT HOW ALL 9-11 TRUTHERS ARE CRAZY AND DANGEROUS. he deserved it if you ask me. i dont give a fuck if anybody heckles a piece of shit like that. and btw...all they did was stand up and ask questions, and that dude gets all tuffguy when security shows up. it is all an act. he is homies with anne coulter for gods sake...what does that tell you.

All the 911 conspiracy theories are pretty sad if you ask me. Especially when people start expressing their opinions and not respecting the opinions of others (that are often much more sane). The bottom line is thousands and thousands of lives were lost. When people start tossing conspiracy theories out there they are making a mockery of a tragedy that is hard enough to accept for friends and family. I don't watch Bill Maher, but saw a clip of what happened and see nothing wrong with what he did

Interupting and attacking people aren't very ways of getting your point out. These people have acted like uncivilized nutballs and Bill Mahr sonned them. Two planes traveling at the speed of sound fly into a building with millions of gallons of fuel no shit the buildings would fall. 9-11 Truthers are nuts!

yeah and you call me a moron..lol
  18. Nov 5, 2007 08:41pm by Whatsgood
The university of Purdue did exclusive studies are you a mechanic? Nah you're just some uniformed fool trying to make a mockery out of a tragedy and trying to justify people disturbing ones show, this would be like me charging into Alex Jones's show as he rants about conspiracies. BTW: Enlighten yourself http://www.debunking911.com/ enjoy!
  19. Nov 5, 2007 08:44pm by ldstroy - www.innatesounds.com
news flash....2 planes dont slam into 2 buildings, and knock over 3 buildings. ask larry silverstien himself...he was quoted on a 9-11 documentary saying to "pull" building 7. "pull" in demolition terms means to bring down a building by controlled demoltion. not to mention a whole slew of other discrepencies. you people are quick to call us crazy, but maybe you should look into it a little more before you swallow the administrations official story. i know that the bush administration is hella trustworthy and all, but maybe you should discover this for yourself.

the university of purdue?!???! dont make me laugh son. what about the engineers that actually built the world trade center. many of them have gone on record stating that is IMPOSSIBLE ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF PHYSICS FOR THE BUILDINGS to collapse the way they did. you are a peice of work whatsgood. lol
  22. Nov 5, 2007 08:52pm by Whatsgood
*sigh* I provided you a link that debunks everything you've asked and clearly you haven't read it. This is the problem with 9-11 truthers they aren't willing to listen to what anyone else says. For someone (who isn't even a mechanic) to laugh at what a University study has found is laughable at best. Theres no need to argue with you anymore go run along sheep baaaa baaaaa * Not mechanic, engineer is what I meant
  23. Nov 5, 2007 08:54pm by ldstroy - www.innatesounds.com
i am gonna stop arguing with you now, cuz quit frankly, its a waist of my time. i got better things to do than try and convince someone such as yourself of what i believe to be true. we all dont see eye to eye , now do we...i dont see how my raising questions makes any kind of a mockery out of the situation. and frankly, i think its pretty tell-tale when someone such as yourself goes to lenghts to undermine my opinions and the opinions of thousands and thousands of those out there that feel the same as i do. what are you scared of? anyway...signing off...have a great day everybody!!!

No it's just sad to see people spouting off uneducated opinions about something they haven't researched on. I've kept an open mind and i've heard all of the conspiracy theories out there, have you read the link I posted? It debunks what you have claimed. BTW Its WASTE of time not WAIST.

Okay....let's say for argument's sake, you are correct. Even so, asking why an American citizen DARES to question their own government is, at the least, treason in and of itself. If you refuse to listen to any other arguments besides what was conveniently supplied to you by the media (btw...five companies own EVERY SINGLE MEDIA OUTLET) then YOU should leave. Now..you should know that there are millions of people out there who began to question these perfectly packaged explanations from the start so you can blow hard all you want, you can't silence millions. Perhaps you should explore the other murders, terrorist acts and crimes against humanity our government has committed. Did you know we blew up our own naval warship in the Gulf of Tonkin? Or, that we forcibly removed hundreds of thousands of U.S. citizens from their homes on the west coast and took their property all because they happened to have Japanese ancestry? (we won't even talk about the Japanese Americans that "dissapeared" in our prison work camps..) We know the government killed MLK jr., they were trailing him for months and wiretapping him (you think Bush would wiretap us but NOT blow us up? It's called collateral damage). It's extremely embarrassing that you would try to silence someone on a hip hop forum. What was hip hop born of? Oh yeah, the genocide called slavery that the government absolutely refuses to recognize as such (oh, like they refused to recognize the Armenian genocide because we need Turkey to take weapons through. That happened two weeks ago, btw.) So, if you want to go around telling others to shut up and accept what the government has told them, you've got millions upon millions of people to cover so you'd better get started. God knows your not using that time to think....or take action. Oppressor. p.s. Check out my spelling and grammar now...is it ok?

I could go on. www.debunking911.com is painfully quiet on the issue of put options, Silverstein's pursuit of a rather specific insurance policy on the complex, and a bunch of other stuff I could drum up. Sure you still wanna have this discussion?

[quote="ldstroy"]Okay....let's say for argument's sake, you are correct. "Even so, asking why an American citizen DARES to question their own government is, at the least, treason in and of itself. If you refuse to listen to any other arguments besides what was conveniently supplied to you by the media (btw...five companies own EVERY SINGLE MEDIA OUTLET) then YOU should leave." Again I said I've heard plenty of conspiracy theories and this site has debunked them. A university with one of the best engineering programs with no invested interest even proved the 9-11 truthers to be wrong. "It's extremely embarrassing that you would try to silence someone on a hip hop forum. What was hip hop born of? Oh yeah, the genocide called slavery that the government absolutely refuses to recognize as such (oh, like they refused to recognize the Armenian genocide because we need Turkey to take weapons through. God knows your not using that time to think....or take action. Oppressor." Where did I silence anyone? All I said what you were providing is factually incorrect and to be honest you're being hypocritical. To get this straight you are complaining about someone trying to shut you up when these people (whos views you share) impeded Mahrs show to the point it couldn't go on until all of them were kicked out. BTW you don't have to lecture me on American history I know plenty of it and while we have fucked up the rest of the world this notion that they were behind 9-11 is obsurd. For one a president couldn't even get a BJ and get away with it and two in order to pull something off this large would have to go through so many chain of commands. So tell me this if you really believe the government killed its own people why aren't you fighting them with force or getting out of the country? It sounds like a half assed attempt to complain if you ask me.

Ok...you're redundant but, whatever. I got time. SO....again, why should I "get out"? Because you don't like what I say. And, we can only use force to disagree now? When did that happen? I was busy getting an education and trading ideas in a supposedly free thinking society. But, I keep getting interrupted by people who worship at the temple of Bill Mahr (great guy, great character on him. I don't give a fuck about his show anymore, just publicly shaming your ignorant ass...). 1. "university with no invested interest". They told you that? You go there? You teach there? How do you know? It's "vested" by the way, language police. 2. Clinton's blow job. Okay...and you're point? It's called a distraction. "The media is the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and the guilty innocent. And that's power because they control the minds of the masses"-Malcolm X said that. You should do some "research" about THIS guy because, boy, if you like Bill Mahr, he's gonna BLOW YOU AWAY!!! 3. I know you think this devolved into a "my site's more factual than yours!" argument, but you're wrong. I'm just OFFERING information whereas you continue to assume I haven't looked at your site (did you build that shit or something? Because you keep calling back to it like it's the bible...) I think I got it all now. Oh, and you spelled 'absurd' wrong. I thought we were playing that game, too. Wanted to make sure I got that in. You make my brain hurt.

Whatsgood, don't ever try and give grammer lessons again. This quote of yours still haunts me to this day: [quote:f904710be6="Whatsgood"]Anyway I just read something disturbing on myspace about how they have attendancy (sP?) to turn away black people. [/quote:f904710be6] Lenny, you know I run deep into conspiracy theories, I've been at it for years and years....but even Alex Jones has an agenda, along with David Icke and the like....They've made an immense amount of revenue which is always doubt worthy. Now, besides the Debunking site (which I've already been through last year), I assume everyone else is talking about either Loose Change or one of the Alex Jones docs which are all about the same. (which I've also seen I think all of them). So what I ask from everyone, is to explain to me the footage of the floors popping out, showing explosives blowing out the floors in a synchronized manner. To this day nobody against the 9-11 truth movement has been able to give any other explanation to it that I've found. And no, WG the debunking site doesn't touch it. I eagerly await anyone to answer this and put me back on the govt's side.

Ok, I see that. I haven't been there in a while so I either missed or it's been updated. But in all seriousness.....the best explanation out of them all is that it was gnomes with their butt cheeks pressed up against the glass, farting every 12 floors. And that's what helps me sleep at night.

What bothers me about the whole deal is the conspiracy theory supporters felt the need to show up to the memorials for 9-11 making asses of themselves and a mockery of the people who died. The Maher thing was a similar situation. The real issue isn't people and their opinions, it's people and their lack of respect.

I don't agree with everything Sharpton says, but I ain't going to write him off. He does seem to "need" to be in the spotlight from time to time. But he's a voice for the voiceless. People know most of the time if hes getting involved it must be a big deal. I dig Oprah, but thinks she can do more, to help "her" people. You'd think shes forgot all about the Color Purple, and that "movement". Bill Maher has said more political junk than she has. I can say this for him, at least acts like he cares about the little people more than her and Cosby. He keeps it real. I think he bites his tounge for fear of getting yanked. Look what happened when he called Americans, cowards. He got pulled from ABC, His point was true though, "What American would starp a bomb to themselves, or crash a plane, for what they believe in?" And dont forget about the memos just released proving Bush was going to Attack Iraq before 9-11 even happened.

There are many, many, MANY families of victims of 9/11 who are asking about the truth. They are questioning things like, why does Saudi Arabia own almost ten percent of our country? And, why does the Bush family have such a *friendly* relationship with them? I didn't show up at a memorial service, many people who want the truth to come out haven't. Bottom Line.....I'm not here to make anyone believe what I believe, BUT, I will defend my right to say what I believe. It's telling how, when admittingly frightening information is presented to someone, they attack. I don't agree with everyone either, but to tell someone to "get out" of the country or use "force" to protest is ridiculous and you only make yourself look stupid.

If you call yourself a true patriot because you support your current President, and support this illegal occupation, and feel anyone who dont feel the same is "un-american then..... It’s arrogant and masturbatory for you to think that conservatives in the U.S. have a monopoly on patriotism or love for the soldiers. It’s simple and inane propaganda. There are liberal soldiers from liberal families fighting in Iraq right now. Your nation was founded by those who criticised and fought a corrupt system while demanding that U.S. citizens do the same, instead of becoming nationalistic apologists living sedentary lifestyles. ‘If you don’t like it, leave.’ Well, that’s one attitude that would never lead to anyone improving anything. Ever. There are some who want to make the U.S. better, because they love their country and won’t settle for an imperialistic, egotistical monstrosity terrorising the planet and risking plunging everyone into a Third World War. You tell yourself over and over that Americans are better, that everyone ought to be like you, that everyone must be glad to have them invade… You’re living in a fantasy world. Because in the real one, America is reviled thanks to your administration. All of your arguments are juvenile and emotional. You puff out your chest and claim to be a ‘real man,’ thinking that being mindlessly tough and intellectually empty is a virtue. Those you disagree with aren’t any less American. But you’ve trivialised and marginalised them as such to make yourself feel better about your own position. Real men have guts; they don’t sit around, posturing, telling everyone how big their balls are and how much more patriotic and American they are. And frankly, the way you think is scary. You can’t see how neo-conservatives are compared to Nazis, I bet, even while you vehemently argue that dissenters should be rounded up and shot. Get some fucking perspective. And get a hold of yourself and whatever personal problems you have, so you aren’t throwing your impotent anger at everyone else. Remember though, this is of course, only if you feel the most "Patriotic" or have the "Most Love for the Troops" on this board, or anywhere else..... "Land of the Greed, home of the Slave." this is a great topic, I know the government had something to do with this and I believe they did it FOR the country (or at least that's how they justified it to themselves) because if you'll remember the country was not very "pro-amercan" or pro-democracy after the scandal of the election vote counting which casted doubt on our system and pretty much divided the country and then 9-11 hits and flags are on SUV's all across america.......you could say it unified america BUT all that aside, whatever side you believe in, don't drop the "if you don't like it get out" shit because this is "a country for the people, by the people" we are supposed to control the government and the media and all aspects of our society...that's why we came here right? so we need to be questioning these people in positions of authority...WE NEED TO! if you don't believe that, then you need to dip out.... anyone see the discovery channels show about this last night?

Is This 20-Year CIA Vet Crazy For Saying 9/11 Is a Probable Inside Job? Debunkers not so quick to attack hugely respected intelligence & foreign policy expert Robert Baer Paul Joseph Watson Prison Planet Monday, November 5, 2007 Debunkers can scoff and chuckle all day long when a celebrity uses their public prominence to talk about 9/11 truth, but when a 20-year decorated CIA veteran says that the evidence points to 9/11 being an inside job, dismissive hand waving and off-the-cuff ad hominem attacks on credibility aren't so easy to justify. Bill Maher recently suggested that people who dare to question this habitually lying government's official version of what happened on September 11 are crazy and should ask their doctor if Paxil is right for them. Perhaps Maher would be less reticent to question the sanity of a man labeled "perhaps the best on-the-ground field officer in the Middle East” by Seymour Hersh and whose astounding career formed the script for the Academy Award winning motion picture Syriana. Robert Baer is no "radical left loony" as Bill O'Reilly would allege and neither does he lean to the right. He is a widely respected expert on intelligence matters and middle eastern foreign policy, an Emmy award nominated documentarian and a strong advocate of the CIA's need to increase Human Intelligence (HUMINT) on the ground. Baer served as a clandestine officer in Madras and New Delhi, India; in Beirut, Lebanon; in Dushanbe, Tajikistan; and in Salah al-Din in Kurdish northern Iraq. While in Iraq, Baer tried to persuade the Clinton administration to back a coup to overthrow Saddam Hussein. So when Baer told a radio host that "the evidence points at" 9/11 having had aspects of being an inside job, the noisy negativists and the trolls were notable by their absence. So where are the debunkers on this one? What does Bill Maher have to say about it? One of the foremost intelligence and foreign policy experts in America and a 20-year CIA veteran to boot says that 9/11 looks like an inside job. Let's hear Bill O'Reilly try and trash this hugely regarded individual as another tin-foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist. Let's hear Glenn Beck attempt to slander Baer as the next Timothy McVeigh terrorist bomber. Let's hear Sean Hannity ridicule this honorable professional and CIA Career Intelligence Medal decorated stalwart as a caricature of liberal political hate speech. They couldn't, and that's precisely why the debunkers, the COINTELPRO counter-operatives, the Neo-Con talking heads and the trolls are loathe to address Baer's expert judgment on 9/11 being a likely inside job.

i'm not gonna get too deep into this, but i want to point out that believing that our government is above taking american lives to further their agenda is irresponsible. our history has repeatedly shown their willingness to do so. here are a few examples: there were an estimated 15 million native americans in the year 1500, in 1890 there were 250,000 look up the relocation act and the termination act the wounded knee incident 300 members of the souix tribe were gunned down by the military Kent state COINTELPRO the list goes on these are not conspiracy theories these were all taught in various anthropology/history classes i've taken. now is not the time for blind trust! keep yourself informed, strong, and ready!

No what these conspiracy theories do is hurt us even more. It wasn't our own government that attacked us it was years of interventional US policies in the middle east. This can be linked to the over throwing the Iranian government in the 50's and installing a man who tortured his own people. If any of you bother to read the 1996 Bin Ladin Fatwah he listed one of the reasons he declared war against American is because of troops in the holy land and our support of Israel. Could you imagine how Catholics would react if the Iranian government had it's troops stationed in the Vatican? 9-11 Conspiracy theories are nothing more than distractions to the real problems as to what caused us to get attacked. Read Sun Tzu's art of war theres alot of things in that book that OBL has used.

Bin Laden was (and still is) a CIA operative. Its a known fact. How do conspiracy theories hurt us? I personally don't think they hurt us, its people like you, who are willing to swallow anything this administration feeds us. That is what really hurts America. You should always ask questions of your government. It is your duty as an American citizen. Are you so naive to think that they wouldn't do such a thing. They have done it the past, and they will do it again. They have a proven track record. Go look it up sometime. I find it hard to believe any rational person can take a look at the evidence and not conclude it was an inside job. There is just too much that doesn't add up.
