Inspired by Skillaimbeer's dope review of Recollection.
This is an old EP/Demo that we had for sell as a micro disk in 02. Sike Style did the original cover. The sound quality is a little iffy but these songs are still relevant. This record is a fun Midtown KC Hip Hop demo from a few years back.
Download it if you've never heard of The Guild. Download it if you've heard of The Guild but have never heard these songs. Download it if you've heard these songs and are just bored. JUST DOWNLOAD IT ALREADY! SHEESH! My favorite is Antithesis One.

Lovely... what a great gift to the boards.
Thank you for the love too, I sincerely appreciate it... I am inspired by the art that everyone around here created and continues to create. There have been more hot albums/projects this year sprouting forth (and more to come, the Reach sampler and the Lenny D video preview both got me chomping at the bit!) from everyone in KC than I can remember since I moved to the area. I will do my best to continue documenting this city's musical legacy and expansion as we move forward together.

I don't even have a copy of Idiom anymore. It's so dated! Miles posted it up on Lawrence Hip Hop ages ago and nobody had anything to say about it! I still like it though! I'm going to try to put all of the old songs that I have online for free as soon as I find them. Until then, everybody else should put up their songs for download. That shit goes right onto my mp3 player and i'll walk around singing your shit!

i never come to this forum, but this is kind of odd because i've been listening to the guild album in my car the past few days... i think i like it more now than when i first got it. or... i've gotten over what i was hearing originally, i would say why, but it's more my neurosis than anything, and i don't want to ruin it for anybody else. anyway, yeah, i'm on a guild kick right now.
p.s. vert, if you're reading this, i'm sending you a micepace message regarding that one thing.
