Topic: The Worst Thing Ever To Happen To KC Hiphop

Fuck, you guys. Do you guys love hiphop. If you live in KC I think that there are very few of you who could answer yes to this question without fronting... After eating a wet piece of shit stuffed between a shitty white roll that they called "The Nuge," I was still kind of enjoying myself when someone taps me on my shoulder, grabbed my blunt, smelled it to make sure it was weed, and then kicked me out, saying, "come back to another show guys, but leave the mary jane at home." Which was fine. I reallize that you cant just brazenly smoke weed in public. But judging by staff, I thought that smoking weed was probably about the least threatening thing I could do. Nobody there was even there for the hiphop, just ask Approach who is the livest motherfucker Ive ever seen on stage but these extremos cant even stand up during the mans set. WAKE THE FUCK UP........PLEASE. Anyway, I tried to sneek in the back door but quickly gave up when my buddy inside said that the guy that kicked my out was smoking my blunt and grubbin on some fuckin hot wings. So, at this point I'm just sort of freaking out because Ive been too loyal to the scene to be treated like this. So I go back around front and try to listen to Y@k Balls set (because him and Approach are the only people I wanted to see.) So Im listening through the front glass. Just chillin. Solo. Not causing any kind of a scene, and these dudes come back out and talk shit, so I left. If the Record Bar is going to continue to be the a major venue for KChiphop shows, the scene is going to fail miserably. Artists just are not going to keep coming back to this shithole.

HAHAHA... Lesson is... Don't smoke weed in bars. Most places have a return policy so you could go out to your car, or burn BEFORE you get to the venue.
People like this are the reasons why The Record Bar was hesitant in having Hip Hop shows in the first place. First, underaged kids are sneaking drinks. Then people are tagging the bathrooms, then there are people smoking weed in the place. C'mon! The LEAST threatening think you could do is go to a show and have a good time. I know that that show wasn't super busy so YOUR BAD for smoking weed in a bar when it's easy to get caught. If you would have snuck into the backdoor, you would have been caught AGAIN and thrown out AGAIN!
I actually work at The Record Bar and have to throw people out for breaking stupid rules everytime I'm there. I didn't throw you out but even in the name of Hip Hop, I would have ruined your time at that show and asked you to leave.
it's common sense guy.
I can't come to your house and track mud in your place so stop smoking weed in my bar.
Seriously Miles, don't egg this guy on.

I cant argue with that at all. Its kindof funny really. I just reread what I wrote the other day. I was just pissed off. I know that people who work in bars deal with an unfair amount of bullshit but just dont be a bigger dick than is necessary to qwel that bullshit. And dont single out hiphop fans or place them beneath a microscope when their at your bar because I'm sure other genres draw fans that are equally difficult to manage. Thanks.

This bar, or any other kc club/bar doesnt have the power to shut off hip hop. Stop depending so hard on others promoting you and find a way to promote yourself. Its easier said then done but.. welcome to reality.
