this is a two part question. with the Jay-Z's return, Nas claims Hip Hop is dead in 06, and with new albums from Ghost (with MF doom) Raekwon, Dr. Dre, Redman, Sean Price, Little Brother and others all coming in 2007, do you feel that we will see a shift in the music? also, what plans do you have in the works for 07 personally?

i think '07 is going to be the year of the lyricists. less focus on production and more on the essentials of lyricism: content, wordplay, wit, and course the underlying message. i think there's a lot of momentum for this heading into the new year with the most recent releases. Jay, Nas, Ghostface, Clipse, Styles P, Hi-Tek, etc. my personal plans for the coming year are pretty lofty, realistically speaking. as far as product, i'm looking at somehow putting out or being included on 4-6 projects varying from a solo mixtape and Ep, to a crew mixtape, features on other KC mixtapes, and a full length with an undisclosed partner. by the time i get my first project for '07 out i will be close to 2 years away from when i dropped 'The Entrance Exam' Ep with Reach. as far as shows my goal is 25. i did 14 and 18 the past 2 years respectively so i'm not far off. and considering i gigged 3 times this month w/o much footwork i should be well over it if i keep my current pace.

I think this should be a good year. I'm looking forward to a lot of releases, such as the ones you just mentioned. There's some more that I heard of but can't remember. If things work out how I'd like (which they never do) I'll have about three ([i:9df745b374]maybe[/i:9df745b374] 4) projects out this year...pro rev, some type of solo joint, and a joint album with someone...It really just depends on a lot of things though. Like school...aaggghhhh!!!! Hopefully I'll get time to work on some stuff before school gets out. (Sike, Lucid, and Dr. T know what I'm talkin about haha). But anyway, yeah, I think this will be a pretty good year. Locally as well as nationally.

Yo Tilla, I'm STILL waiting on those tracks to cut up like Beatrix Kiddo! Only kidding with you man, we're all busy, but I always make time for my music and art. Life's too short... The new year certainly has the potential to really be a productive one. People can definitely expect some new material from Barbaric Merits which is bound to leave bruises. Personally, I will be unleashing a new wave of instrumentals, and providing cutting and scratching to anyone who needs some. I also plan to work on some larger art installations, as well as teach some classes at the Hip Hop Academy. And with the year being '007, you can be sure my homie Dublow 7 has some BIG things planned as well. You've been warned....

Um, I'm going to release SOMETHING and perform SOMEWHERE. That would be nice. And I hope Milk is correct about lyricism taking a step to the front.

I just got a new mic, and I'm trying to record a lot of back dated stuff just to get it done, I'll let you guys hear it all though. I'm hopefully dropping in on a few mixtapes. I'm writing for a few different projects so we'll see what happens. Maybe some singing. I'm trying to play out a lot around the state(hit me up if you can help) and tour a lot in the spring and summer. I'm still holding out a glimmer of hope for my crew to put out a record(we might have disbanded though). I'm tryin to be in love with life, and make some music that really reflects where I am as a person and artist. I'm always looking to work with others, especially producers. I'd maybe like to do a joint project with a producer. Mainly I am pregnant with ideas, and if I don't get some of this shit out I will explode.

I haven't brought King's ludicrous grapple combos out the box in a minute. I'll have to see how many ten-hit combos, and how many Hwoarang juggle combo, Lei Wu Long fighting style, Paul Phoenix sweep to elbow, Nina scissor lock to arm bar, Heihachi pummelling your ass, don't even try bringing Eddie Gordo cause Mokujin will punch your face, moves I can remember. It's been a minute, but I think it will all come back to me. Let me know whats up on some matches.

Eddie's got moves. He's a rookie's choice though, perfect for button mashers. Mokujin's my man cause playing as him is a testament to versatility. I'll hollar at some other heads who I know used to get down. They'd love to I'm sure.

Yo Reach, Ubi and Vert both want in. I gotta warn you, Ubi is deadly on the Tekken3. Honestly, his rhyme skills are humbled before his tekken tactics. Are you sure you want to do T3, no Tag or any of the other more recent ones? I haven't played those myself, well, I stopped after Tekken Tag. If you wanted to play any of the others I'd be glad to skim some tutorials.

Yeah, I know all his combos too. Which is why he's easy to read, block, and counter. I'm sure you'll bring it. I'm just saying, far as T3, there's nothing I haven't seen. We could go T5 just to keep it current. It should be one or the other.
