I am an active member on the MPC-forums.com. Every so often, MPC-Forums.com will "battle" other music production forum websites, then hold a vote and claim a winner. I suggest we have a beat battle between all the KC beatmakers who want to give a shot to be the champion of KC beats. I suggest we do it ladder style, If we get enough people, we can make a braket. Then, we will hold votes with links to 2 beats, the winner will move up the bracket. Depending on how long this takes, we can hold these battles again as soon as the old one is done. How does this sound to everyone out there? Right now i just need to know, how many would participate, and make beats? (If you reply to this thread with a "yes" or "fo sho" or anything of that matter, i will consider you a contender, and write you into the bracket. Once i get enough people, i will close entry and PM everyone who joined for this session" I'm kinda new member but i think this could bring the producers of HopHopKC.com closer, and maybe even spark some collabs. So what do you think? Good idea?

Yeah I like doing stuff like that and would probably do it. I try not to commit to anything if it can be prevented, but I would probably do it.

If you are a dope beat maker period, it don't have to be an MPC. I don't have one and my beats come out just as good.

LMAO!!!!! when you use a mpc ta make a grilled cheese it brings out the flavor....hahaha... My opinon is it does NOT matter Mpc or no MPC... It's the person that makes the beat on whatever equiptment.... or hell now or days what Program... I got the NEW Fruity loops and it is REALLY NICE..... !!! .. i made a few beats on it so far and have not even touched the surface of the program.!!! later s.g.

Was being a bit sarcastic myself. I have an ASRX, but overall find using software (mostly fruity loops) to be much more efficiant and flexible. The ASR actually works as a pretty good controller too since the transport controls work with the software. However it's looked at the future of any type of music production is going to be via a computer, but there's still a good spot for samplers since they kind of give sounds a bit of character you can't find in software. My opinion is it really doesn't matter, but the future will see much more computer use.

That's a Texas sized avatar. Is there any way to make a limit on that Necia? Might not be a bad idea if so.
