It's kind of experimental...called "The Mouth & The Strings".....The sound are all either from a guitar or from my mouth. It's interesting if nothing else...needs breaks and stuff still, but those are usually best to do after a song is written. Anyway peep here www.myspace.com/dmbeats

making an effort to check out as much as I can on this site and post my feedback...... bassline is nice. its actually a pretty cool experimental beat to me man. The pieces are put together nicely. would like to hear somebody spit on it and see how the song comes out. keep bangin!!!!!

okay I peeped it. It was pretty interesting. i liked the fact that you only used a guitar and your mouth. With some of those sounds...I wouldn't have known unless you told me. Sounded like a drumkit, that's cool. I'd like to hear it with some lyrics and breaks put in...let me know.

Thanks guys. It was hella experimental. Experimenting and putting limitations on myself usually helps with growth. Got one on my asr right now that is super duper experimental, but probably going to turn out quite a bit better. Appriciate the feedback.

Posted a new one on the same page www.myspace.com/dmbeats It's called "Terror" and is the experimental one I mentioned. What I did was loop my samples with the turntable off....most of them backwards, then laid a bassline down. It worked pretty good and I seem to be picking up bass way faster than any other intrument I've messed with. Anyway with the way this one turned out I'll have to break off some more like it.

Couldnt feel this one at all compared to The Mouth and Strings. Its not that its experimental at all, there is just too much stuff going on that sounds like noise to me. Musically an artist has to branch out and take chances, but Im not sure with this track though. I went back to play The Mouth and Strings again.....still enjoying this one!

Yeah the mix on "terror" sucks really bad......I spread the mix out a little bit which gave it a little breathing room...might post the new version...might not. just posted a half beatbox track.....the other half is bass guitar and drum samples. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It's on the same page.

Thanks Tilla. I tried a new idea out for making that beat. It seemed to work pretty good on attempt 1. What I did was lay the drums down on my sampler so they have a good groove, but still be tight.....Recorded those into my computer, then layed down a bassline with the guitar, then layed down some basic samples off my sampler, but recorded them straight into the computer. It came together real quick and seemed to keep me motivated in making it. Next time I will probably lay the samples down before the bassline. That is a pretty old school way of doing things probably, but seemed to help out with creativity and motivation.
