Here is what's going down at the SCRIBBLE TOUR stop in Lawrence.....
This is on Monday yall * All Ages * The Granada * $15@ doors
The Tour will include the following:
-Recording Artists: MR.DIBBS (Atmosphere), BLUEPRINT, GLUE (Adeem, Maker, DJ DQ)
- A group of 3 assorted B-Boys from FreeStyle Sessions
-Visual Artists: David Ellis and Kenji Hirata (Barnstormers) <you may have seen their work in the recent Absolut Vodka commercials that have been airing nationwide>
-MC Battle with winner winning an invite and airfare to Scribble Jam 2005 to compete for the $10,000!!!!!
Each tour stop will be a four to five hour show depending on how long the MC battle runs. The show will start with an opening act (yet to be determined for Lawrence) playing a 20 minute set. DJ DQ of Glue will be playing records between sets. Up next is Glue with a 45 minute performance, and then a B-Boy set from assorted B-Boys from around the country handpicked by Cros One of FreeStyle Sessions. Then Dibbs will go on for 45 minutes, then Blueprint will be going on for another 45 minutes. The night will end with the MC battle. During this entire performance, artists David Ellis and Kenji Hirata of the Barnstormers will be painting live on stage as they are inspired by the music.
