Many people are wondering what the music will be like, what the Hangout is like etc. I'm more than happy to explain what FEEL SEXY will be about...
WHAT WILL THE MUSIC SOUND LIKE?????
The hangout is really layed back, all red velvet on walls, small nice comfortable dance floor. It's more like a lounge / bar. Some tables and chairs, classy. Looks similar to the FEEL SEXY myspace page design, that velvet is ACTUALLY a photograph of a wall in the Hangout.
The music for this series will not be be focused on top 40 radio stuff,
but instead RnB from 1979/80, Neptunes, D'Angelo, Saadiq, Dwele, Stevie Wonder, M Jackson, prince, Bar-Kays, Barry White, fun to dance to, not cheesy, as for tempo, I always like for the night to progress. From 9-10 it will be chill, lounge / jazz etc, 10-11 as things get "hoppin" I'll start to turn it up, and the party will commence. Its an event.
[b:1767c06c2b]this is for the ladies and gentlemen to have a nice night to.[/b:1767c06c2b]
Some 90s RnB like Mary J, etc. I want the environment to feel comfortable, exciting, energizing, and worth looking forward to.
hope you can come out THIS SATURDAY the 22nd!!!!
thanks for asking. - miles

I couldn't make this event and was totally bummed about it. How was it somebody?

i had a good time, i told a few people and i'm bringing a crew next time. it was the type of thing i've been waiting to attend for a while.. no reservations about playing the goofy shit, no need for high brow crate digger self-importance or hardcore hip-hop defensiveness... just lettin' it all hang out, heh.
there wasn't a whole lot of people there since it was a first time thing, but i'd say there was maybe 20-25 and all but about 5 of them were on the dance floor by the end of the night, so i think the next one will be a hit.

this is one of the things I love about this type of forum. can you say "Archive" a living document of our community's proceedings. I went back in time today to find the first post of "FEEL SEXY" featuring Miles Bonny's concept for this hot hot night.
Just wanted to celebrate longevity of nights like this in our scene.
too often I take for granted what it takes to not only come up with a concept for a night, but also what it takes on the part of the creator to keep expanding and morphing that concept to keep it "fresh"
Kudos Miles for feel sexy and its continued success.
