thanks for offering Kiz. Here's our wish
We would love you to dj for the Bboys on Wednesday, that you would be a panelist for the "KC hiphop then and now" panel on Thursday evening and that otherwise you would participate throughout the week as your time permits
some thoughts I have about How the show me mix show might support this event week and maybe support hiphop history under normal circumstances:
I would love and possibly as hiphopkc.com: underwrite either one or both of these segments
(when I have money )
1. local vision a 15 min to 1/2 uninterrupted segment where local artists who follow the instruction for submission break their music directly to the city
2. spotlight segment for hiphop pioneers circa 1970 to 2000 same format radio edited traks from on artist every month bi monthly that plays their musical body of work, briefly gives their story and where they are now. U would love to help recruit researcher for this project.
again, thanks for offering and just hit me here or by pm to let me know |

Ok word sounds like a good thing. Here are my replies.
I can spin on wednesday no problem at all, will sound be provided? As i will be coming from work and will only have my turntables, mixer, records
Thursday i don't think that i will be able to do that day, only because i'm getting the little one ready fro school next year, and i have to go meet the principal, the school that she will be going to, and take placement test. Damn i can't remember doing all that wehn i went to school. LOL LOL
As far as the things that you out lined:
1. I'm really trying to get a grass roots thing of people getting their music to me so that i can include them in on the mix. I have serato now which will allow me to take people songs and put them in the mix instead of just playing their songs on cd. It give it a litlle more edge than just playing the song. the idea is to play as many songs as i can back to back this way, like a 15 min mastermix of all local joints. But i love the idea that you suggested, and i believe that it can be done some way. Let's build on that and see.
2. great idea!!! As a matter of fact i have been toying around with an idea that i think that you might be 100 percent interested in. That's another thaing that we should build up on.
Hit me on pm and let's make it happen.
PEACE

NRG, count me in as part of the opinion panel. Just let me know the details and how long the presenters are allowed to speak, etc. Thanks for thinking of me. Peace.

For all of those interested in the graff display, arrive around 10:30 a.m. if you want to get an early start on your work. And, if possible, PM Necia or PL in advance, so we'll have an estimate of how many setups we'll need.
F.Y.I. : The graff session is B.Y.O.P. |
